Doctor-Led Health & Mobility Check We perform a foundational clinical "welfare check" to evaluate your parent's overall strength, joint stability, and balance—especially focusing on conditions like arthritis, neuropathy, or post-stroke weakness. We then guide them through a personalized, basic exercise plan designed to safely maintain their physical independence at home.
2. The Environmental & Daily Routine Audit We physically walk through your loved one's entire day, from getting out of bed to taking a shower. By identifying hidden "danger zones" (like slippery tiles or high thresholds), we eliminate fall risks before they happen and prescribe the exact, sensible accessibility equipment needed to make daily tasks safer and easier.
3. Hands-On Medication Management Managing multiple prescriptions can be confusing and dangerous. We review their daily medications, provide doctor-approved advice on minimizing uncomfortable side effects, and physically sort their pills into clear, easy-to-use containers to guarantee the right dose is taken at the right time.
4. Caregiver Education & Support A safe home requires a trained and confident support system. We spend dedicated time educating family members or hired caregivers on essential, medically approved nursing skills—such as the correct techniques to prevent bedsores and how to safely assist with walking without causing a compensatory fall.
To ensure Dr. Edussuriya can dedicate the necessary time and clinical focus to every single patient, our exclusive in-person Home Visits are currently limited to the following areas:
Kandy District: Within a 15km radius of Kandy City Centre during weekdays, after 4pm.
Colombo City Limits: Within 15km radius of Colombo 05- Scheduled specific days per month. (Please inquire for our next available Colombo visitation dates).
